From Beaune, the wine capital, you'll head off to discover the 2 famous wine-producing areas: Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits.
DAY 1 Arrive in Beaune
Arrive in Beaune. The hotel is located in the historic heart of the town. Meet the representative from the agency and presentation of your short stay, hand-over of your travel diary, maps and tourist brochures as well as bicycles. As soon as you arrive, you'll have time to wander through the medieval streets of Beaune, its ramparts, the collegiate church of Notre Dame with its 15th century tapestries, and have a drink in one of the many cafes! Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 2 Loop to the north of Beaune - Côte de Nuits vineyards ~35km
Today's tour takes you north of Beaune towards the Grand Crus of Corton and Corton Charlemagne, before entering the vineyards of the Côte de Nuits. You'll pass through the famous wine villages of Vosne Romanée, Vougeot (with its Château Clos de Vougeot), Chambolle Musigny and Gevrey Chambertin. Return by train to Beaune at the end of the afternoon. Overnight in a hotel.
DAY 3 Loop south of Beaune - vineyards of the Côte de Beaune ~30km
Today's bike ride takes you through the famous vineyards of Pommard and Volnay ... the realm of Pinot Noir. The journey isn't difficult, then back through the famous vineyards of Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet, charming villages that make the best white wines in the world from Chardonnay grape varieties. Return to Beaune in the afternoon. Overnight in the same hotel.
