SANTENAY

A wine village fed by a natural spring, Santenay became a spa town in the 17th century. The area, at the junction of the Beaune-Santenay cycle route, and the green way towards Nolay, is divided between Santenay-le-Haut with its church of St Jean de Narosse, and Santenay-le-Bas with its châteaux. Santenay has a Casino, which succeeded the Kursaal of the 19th century.
