In 2011, Jean-Jacques Milteau and Xavier Simonin adapted Blaise Cendrars' L'Or, a major literary work describing a European's odyssey to the emerging United States of the 19th century. A universal story that finds its natural extension in Steinbeck, evoking the 20th century and the great internal migration from the Dust Bowl to California.
